These unique side tables are wrapped in the best Italian leather from Spinneybeck. Each piece was clad by a specialist local leather Artisan who completed each, with a hand sewn baseball stitch down one side.
Contemplation Sculpture
Title of piece is “Contemplation” - Carrara Marble and Rosewood base Contemplation - The action of looking thoughtfully at something for a long time. This word perfectly describes the journey of this work, a process of contemplating each hand movement with a chisel or rasp over a two year period. It also refers to thinking profoundly about something, a kind of inner vision or seeing.The many different angles to any sculpture of the Abstract form, means that what I see is totally different to another.
Petal Side Table - leather and solid brass
This petite side table is made of 90% Commercial discard. During the prototype phase of this table, the table passed through the hands of 7 local businesses.Wrapped in Italian leather with a solid brass top that has been hand patinaed, the initial table was envisaged for a special client, as one piece of 5 to make up a larger coffee table. As you look down on the piece it reads as a flower patch.
